Federation Square.

Federation Square opened in 2002 as a celebration of 100 years of the federation. At the time, it was pretty controversial. It is located very close to Flinders Street Station. The building has a truly modern design and hosts more than 2,000 events every year. There is always something to see there. It is usually called “Fed Square” and has the biggest public Wi-Fi spaces in Australia.

Royal Botanic Gardens.

This garden is located in the green parkland south of the Yarra River, about two kilometers from the Central Business District. The gardens are one of the best in the world and cover around 38 hectares and feature more than 8,500 species of plants. It is one of the top free places to visit in Melbourne. In the summer, there is live theater, and moonlight cinema outside under the stars.

Melbourne Cricket Ground and the National Sports Museum.

Melbourne is often called “The Sporting Capital of Australia.” Possibly, why the sports stadium is a significant attraction.
